What's Next? Check out my next race, the Bellingham Trail Marathon! Located in the seaside mountain town of Bellingham, Washington, the trail marathon showcases some of the best trails in the Pacific Northwest. The race is a stunning mix of trail running in Bellingham with lots of tough climbs on single track trails, as well as fast interurban trails and a short road section. With 5,000 feet of climbing, this may be the toughest marathon in Washington! All finishers get a custom made medal and catered post race meal. Race benefits the Sehome XC Team.
Big thanks to James @ Rainshadow Running! Check out his next race, it's pretty sweet, Mt. Spokane 25k/50k. If I wasn't co-RDing, I'd be running it for sure!
Thank you to Seven Hills Running Shop for sponsoring the race and donating the gift certificates and in partnership with Glenn Tachiyama, two canvas prints. Stop by their Seattle Store and thank them for being such an important part of the trail running community!
Stay tuned for Glenn T's photos.... I'll send an email when they are ready.
Thanks Herb Reeves for making the Cle Elum Ridge 50k the final race in the Washington Ultra Series! Check out his trail running website, Trail Run Crazy. Lots of great info and a trail event calendar. Like them on Facebook.
Also, not only is Cheri Pompeo our only 15 year finisher, she donated two of her books, 50 Trail Runs in Washington as random giveaways at the race. Thanks Cheri!
Thank you to all the volunteers! As usual I am continually impressed and humbled by the number of people that are willing to give up a day to make your run a special one. An extra special thanks to those volunteers who help, race after race.
Lastly, THANK YOU for coming to the race with your sense of adventure, toughness, love for this classic race, and trail running spirit--or whatever it is that makes trail runners special!
Happy trails, rest up!
